Joint Venture by Mackenzie Spencer and Needle Partners to Provide Complete Transaction Solution

Chris Sellars of Mackenzie Spencer with Sharon Needle of Needle Partners

Mackenzie Spencer recently announced a joint venture with the international commercial law firm, Needle Partners, to provide businesses with a complete transaction solution.

The agreement combines the deals experience of Mackenzie Spencer, with the legal expertise and global resources of Needle Partners to provide a client-centric service that will operate under the name Needle Mackenzie Spencer.   The company will offer the service from offices in Sheffield, Leeds and the Thames Valley.

Chris Sellars, Managing Director of Mackenzie Spencer said: “The process of completing a transaction can be a complex and challenging one.  Bringing the delivery of both the lead advisory and legal aspects within one service, streamlines the process, the delivery and, most importantly, the communication with the client who will now have one point of contact throughout.”

Sharon Needle, founder and Managing Partner of Needle Partners, said: “One of Needle’s plans on becoming an Alternative Business Structure last December was to seek out additional services that would benefit our clients. Working with Mackenzie Spencer under the new banner will give our clients the opportunity to obtain specialist corporate finance advice in a seamless way, either complimenting their existing advisors or as an add on service. I believe we are unique in offering this to our clients and very much look forward to working with Chris and his team with clients based both in the UK and overseas.”

Chris commented: “Working with Sharon and her team brings a breadth of transaction experience to the Needle Mackenzie Spencer team, along with international connections in Kuala Lumpur and a fantastic reputation of exceptional legal services.  I am excited about the opportunity to expand our geographical footprint and to explore the potential of offering our complete transaction service to international markets.”

Mackenzie Spencer has been in operation for over 6 years and offers a range of services from mentoring business owners and preparing businesses for sale to advising Management Buy Out teams and fund raising for growth.

Needle Partners offers commercially focused legal services and was started over 9 years ago by Sharon who, in 2016, was shortlisted to be named Woman Lawyer of the Year at the Law Society Excellence Awards.
